Congratulations to The Hardy Bucks for topping the latest round of RTE’s Storyland competiton. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it’s being described as an Irish “Trailer Park Boys”, which is no bad thing. It’s easily the funniest Irish comedy in years. If this doesn’t get comissioned as a full TV show after the competition has run it’s course I’d be amazed. The question is whether or not RTE have dibs on the show as part of the competition. If not, The Hardy Bucks could easily get snapped up by a UK station. What say ye?
I think it’s great AND it gives you a new line to say over and over again when you’re drunk:
“Dhrinkin’, Fightin’, Shmokin…”
And Blue-ies!! Took a while to cop it means ‘Blue Movies’…
Funy thing is, I know too many people exactly like this at home..
